Hooray for Genes Reunited

I did some searches the other night, and lo and behold have just had a contact reply from someone whose grandfather was my grandfather's brother, and I had no information on this side of the family after the 1901 census.

All I am getting is a big grey square. At least we can find out if others are having the same problem. It saves a lot of frustration.

A certificate check list is a great idea, as I am going through all mine (700 at the last count) to see what is missing. I have most of the information , just haven't put it onto Family Tree Maker yet.

I really wish I could say yes as I haven't made any new discoveries for years (at least it seems like years). Unfortunately, my Nelsons and Ramages are all from Ayrshire.
