Re: Maud Forsyth Death

Dear Sarah I would like to thank you and everyone else for the help regarding Maud Forsyth (nee Holbrook). I will send for Benoni's death certificate to confirm details. Very strange that his death announcement didn't mention a wife, only his half sister. Looks like he possibly left her and went to ...

Re: Maud Forsyth Death

Sorry, Id there is no mention of a wife, I forgot about previous thread, I don't have Benoni's death certificate, just the announcement of his death and no mention of wife.
Only about his half sister, Jane, who sailed out to Canada and joined him

Maud Forsyth Death

Can anyone help with a death for Maud Forsyth (m/s Holbrook).

She was born in Lowestoft and married Benoni Forsyth in 1899 in Manhattan, New York.

Benoni died in 1908 in San Diego but there was no mention of her on his death certificate or death announcement.

:) =D>

Re: Irene MacGregor Death

Dear Annette, I've just checked my emails and I'm so excited about this piece of information, Alexanders 2 sons, Alexander and Norman, were born in 1901 and 1903 so this could possibly be another birth that I missed. Do you have anymore information on the birth?? I don't know when the photo was take...

Re: Passenger Lists to South Africa

Hi Alan I was wandering that too about the photos. Possibly childhood memories and not correct. John didn't go to England so wouldn't be on the 1911 census. I found a John MacGregor sailing to Boston approx 1910. I know he was in Boston in 1912 as he sent a wedding present from Boston to his sister ...

Re: Irene MacGregor Death

He was still in Scotland in 1891 census but married in 1900 in West Derby Liverpool. His address in 1901 Census was 3 Sutton St, West Derby. The information I received fom someone on Rootschat website and it doesn't say if he was single or widowed. I don't have the marriage certificate yet but think...

I know this is a very long shot but thought I would try anyway. Can anyone help with a death for an Irene MacGregor born approx 1875 either in Isle of Man, Manchester or Liverpool. My Great Uncle, Alexander MacGregor, was born in Dufftown, Banffshire in 1875, I was told he married someone called Ire...

Re: 1901 Census

Dear Sarah I think this may be my Grandmother I searched on SP for ages but couldn't find her. Yes, that's her family living at Bogside Cottage, Stonehouse. As you will see, some of her siblings were born in Stonehouse so it's possible she thought she was born there. She actually went to school in S...

Re: Passenger lists to and from Canada

Not my Grandfather if he went to the USA or in 1920 in Canada. He married my Grandmother in 1915 in Lanarkshire and never left Scotland after that date but many thanks anyway
