He is there in 1882 in Milton age 66 but indexed as DANIEL. Certificate definitely looks like David so worth reporting to SP. Wife is Mary Picken, parents Robert Ferguson & Mary McLelland. I found a marriage for Christina in 1899 in Craignuek, Dalziel parish to Peter Fairley. The parents are correct and the marriage was witnessed by Hugh McMenemy. Glad it's her. I always look for Helen & Nellie having been caught out in the past. Another variation to bear in mind is Ellen - I'm sure there are lots more. I usually use wildcards to pick up at least some of the different names.

I agree the name on the death cert if definitely Helen but Nellie is a common variant of Helen which is why I suggested this marriage as a possible.

I think it is Coutts.

There is a John Beattie Coutts married to Nellie Davidson in 1913 in Inverurie that might fit.
