I hated the new site. Maybe they thought if they made it awkward it would encourage folk to go to ancestry. It will do the opposite for me. Feel they are taking over the free sites

Just in case anyone can make a connection. My great grandmother Christina McAlpine (b1830) lived in Campbelltown and I have a John Love in the 1841 Census living with her parents in Kilcalmonell aged 2. I have no idea who he is or where he came from.

I managed to have a short peek at the KS records recently and they will be compulsive viewing. The case I located was quite amusing but I felt sorry for the people concerned whose misdemeanours are going to be read by a nation of researchers !

I might have a go then because I have really benefitted from all their work over the years

Just want to add my appreciation of this site. I had cause only recently to use this and was delighted with the information avaiable on it. If you are able to count the number of visitors to your site then I would conclude they were all positive apart from the very few who contacted you to complain....

Joette where are your Coutts from? I have a few Coutts in my tree No Findlaters though
