I purchased my grandparents marriage cert after finding the extract on SP, but when i went to the registrars office the girl who served me couldn't make out the names and had to ask me how to spell them!!! but it now means that i only have what i think the names were and not exactly what was on the...

I would tend to go with Linener…. I’m sure that the enumerator would have not spelt Linen with the double “n”

I would have to agree with David…. Looks like an RA cap badge to me (my initial thoughts were RHA) If you look at the badge on the chap standing on the left (with the tear on the photo) you can make out the wheel spokes.
