Hi all, Particular thanks to Currie for listing the injured children. My Gran was in Canada when this disaster happened and said she lost three cousins. I have never identified which children were her cousins but knowing those injured will help me as she may have said injured or hurt and the meaning...

That is appreciated.
It is an 'established historical fact' that the eldest brother William in this family (ie brother to my Robert and Ian's Mungo) WALKED from Ayrshire to Birmingham to get a job. No carriage or horseback for him.
They made em tough in those days.

Hello Ian I cannot help your query and hope that has been resolved by now! I have a very similar issue - an unbroken line to Mungo Murdoch chr 1803, putative nephew to your Mungo. He is also a grandson of John and the evidence strongly supports that the link in my case was via Robert b 1757. This li...
