1921 Census

Does anyone know the release date for the 1921 census for Scotland? Is it the same for England?

The next US release is the 1950 census and that will be on April 1, 2022.

Re: George Sutherland McKay (Born 6 April 1917, Aberdeen)

Hello,

I didn't have much luck finding them on Ancestry.com, but there is one family tree for a George Sutherland McKay born in 1917 in Aberdeen. Unfortunately, it is a private tree so you would have to contact them by message and ask to see the tree.

Re: Robert ROSS - Austin, Texas maybe

I got the free trial to work. Robert came to Glaveston in 1968 after having worked for the Port of Freetown, Sierra Leone in West Africa for 13 years. He worked for the Galveston Wharves and served as Harbormaster and Assistant Director of Operations. He retired in 1984. He was survived by daughter ...

Re: Robert ROSS - Austin, Texas maybe

Hi again, I also found that the Texas Death Index says he died in Galveston, TX. There is a claim for the US Railroad Retirement Pension Index, 1934-1987 with matching dates of birth and death and his social security number. The info on the database from Ancestry says that you can get a copy of his ...

Re: Robert ROSS - Austin, Texas maybe

The Social Security Death Index has his date of death as 24 May 1994. Birth as 4 June 1924. Parents James Ross and Annie English.
The Naturalization records have him arriving 21 March 1968 and declaration date was 31 Jan 1973 in Houston, TX. Haven't gotten into the marriages yet!

Re: Robert ROSS - Austin, Texas maybe

Hi Wilma,

Any idea what his middle name might have been? Ancestry has a number of census, death, and naturalization records for Robert Ross in Austin, TX. There is a naturalization record for one born in Govan, Scotland who arrived in 1968.

Also his parents names?

Re: Ancestry dna

Mostly their changes just confused me. How could I suddenly be 64% Finnish when I for sure only had one Finnish parent (Mom). I lost my Iberians altogether along with half of my Scottish and Irish relies, but picked up a few more in Western Europe. Before all this I have made contact with a couple o...

Re: Raitt family

If you belong to Facebook, there is a Raitt Family page on there too. David Raitt who authored the website is a frequent poster and many people have posted their Gedmatch kit numbers if you have had your DNA tested and downloaded the results to Gedmatch. I don't have a match with him unless it is ve...

Raitt family

Hi all, If you have Raitts, Rait, Raet and several other spellings in your family tree, you may find this website useful: http://www.raitt.org/aberdeenshire-raitts.html. The author has done extensive research on the Raitt family with 25 pages on the Aberdeenshire Raitts alone. I printed out that muc...
