Re: Looking for Margaret Healy

Hi guys, Just a quick reply at the moment as I am on my break at work. Thanks to all for your replies and advice. I had already found the Healy's in the 1911 census and found Thomas and Margaret with their families in the 1901 census. I was so excited to find these - I had no idea the Irish National...

Re: Looking for Margaret Healy

Hi guys, I haven't been doing the old family tree stuff for a while. Got fed up with being stuck all the time! Anyway, I am back on it and want to do some more digging on the O'keefe/Healy side again. I have been thinking about purchasing some credits on either Genes REunited or Ancestry to try and ...

Okay. I got a birth cert from Roscommon for my other half's grandfather. On his BC he is named as Denis and his father is Thomas Healy and his mother Margaret Healy formerly O'Keeffe. He was born on 2nd January 1913 at a Lying-in Hospital in Limerick. The parent's address is given as 2 James Street....

Strangely enough, we had a very similar conversation at work today. Elizabeth I did have a half sister, but it was Mary Tudor and not Mary Queen of Scots. Mary Tudor was the daughter of Henry XIII and Katherine of Aragorn (his first wife) and Elizabeth I was the daughter of Henry and Anne Boleyn (hi...

And I have just noticed that you are in Oz. Do they state whether certs will be send via airmail or surface mail? That could make a big difference to the time it would take to get to you.

Nina, I got my cert a week to the day that I faxed the application (it just took me ages to post my message of thatnks!). I had a date and place of marriage so they were maybe able to track it down really quickly. Maybe your rellies are proving to be a bit more elusive. Hope they get back to you soo...

Looking for Margaret Healy

Hope someone can help me with this one. I'm looking for the death record of Margaret Healy (m.s. O'Keefe) likely in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales as that is where she lived. Unfortunately, I don't know the year. She was my other half's GGM and we are pretty sure she came from Limerick and know that ...

Lesley,

Just thought I would let you know that I got the marriage cert from Roscommon and the info on it backed up my little leap of faith and let me get a bit further back in this line. :D

Thanks for your advice and help!

Children of William Smith and Elizabeth Martin

Hi guys. Need your help again! William Smith and Elisabeth/Elizabeth Martin married on 26/03/1836. From the 1841 and 1851 censuses, I can see at least 6 kids - George, William, Christiana/Christina, Marion, Elizabeth and William. However, I can't find any birth records for the kids. The censuses sta...

I doubt I am going to be at the Mitchell any time soon, but if someone else who is going could look up the address, I would be happy to go hunting. I don't think the Masonic Arms is the right building. Looking at the 1923 map, the M.A. is located a wee bit further up in the centre of where the road ...
