Its from that wonderful, mythical and sometimes magical year of 1855! Yes the year that Statutory Registration came into ...

Re: Burial records search
Hi. You can actually find them on Family Search online. I believe if you search the records section and then search Glasgow it brings up a list of all the cemeteries and you can view the images of the burial records once you click through. I'm currently helping to index the Glasgow Necropolis record...

Friends of Glasgow Royal Infirmary Women's Week Talks.
Was passed on this information earlier and thought it might be of interest to some people who have a connection to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. One of the Talks is about the work by the Friends of the Necropolis so not all hospital related. "Next week the Friends of Glasgow Royal Infirmary are holdi...

Re: Lorimer Conundrum
Hi Maggie
Just did a wee Search for you try here:
Ordiquhill kirk session, Minutes (1800-1842), CH2/291/3 and image number 00033.
Look in the bottom right hand page.
I think this might help you.

Re: Some Interesting Reading Grave Matters.
Hi Sarah got a reply for your query. Not all of the articles in GM could be expanded into full profiles, what you get in GM is all there is. However other cases could be expanded. It is all a question of finding time to do it. You've set me thinking and I have a couple of ideas I want to pursue but ...

Hi Sarah
I'm glad you found them interesting.
I actually don't know if the articles are added to the profiles on the website but I shall ask someone who might know and get back to you on that one.

Some Interesting Reading Grave Matters.
As Some of you may know I've been helping The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis to transcribe their Burial Records. As part of this a Quarterly Magazine update called Grave Matters is produced and it highlights some of the recent 'finds' and goes into more detail. I thought as a most of us are locked do...

You have both mentioned that the male deaths are statistically higher on averages, which we had already found o...
