Re: Illegible (to me) posted images

Hi. I'm thinking that since she didn't have any children with husband #1 then #2 John Clark, is a good choice for the surname. There are a couple of people who fit that name and since they married in 1933 and she was a widow when she passed in '58 then the informant is possibly still living; I'll ha...

Illegible (to me) posted images

Hello. I just posted 2 images, one is Bridget Moen's 2nd marriage in 1933 there is a note that I can only make out divorce at bottom (should there be a divorce document available)? The other image has the informant at her death in 1958 of which I can't make out the name of her son. Thank you. dennis

Re: Unsure of her parents c1838

I've decided to remove that section of the tree which involves the Arnott and Bell folk (we were not actually related, I have a habit of looking for non-relatives for something to do :)

Unsure of her parents c1838

Hi. I have a Catherine Wood born c1838 died 1911 (age 73). I just can't be sure of who her mother was. On her death record Her father is listed as William wood (coalminer)and mother as Janet Wood (no maiden name). Since I can't be sure of her mother then I can't be sure if she belongs on my tree; sh...

Newfoundland pre-1949

Hi. Were people born in Newfoundland prior to 1949 considered to be British subjects; were their BMDs kept in England?

Re: Need surname of informant

Searched the 1901 census for Alexander Lennox born in Milton; 4 results (aged 15, 45,5 & 0) but none to the couple of the earlier child.

Need surname of informant

Hi. I've uploaded a section of the 1920 death record of Alexander Lennox. Filename: http://talkingscot.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10279/AlexanderLennoxDR.jpg I cannot make out the surname of the informant, tho I'm quite sure its not his son Alexander Lennox who died in 1888 age 11 months. His daugh...
