Clifferna Co Cavan
Is there a kind person near St Michael's RC Church Cemetery, Clifferna, Co Cavan that would check a grave site please. I'm stuck with my Irish research, and hoping there may be a headstone. Plot 167B, all the same plot number: all from Greaghagibney, so I'm feeling pretty positive they are all my an...

Re: Divorce
Thanks Alan,
There is nothing noted on the original entry, I have to assume both parties told fibs at the time of their second marriage.

Re: Divorce
Thanks for the replies.
I was not sure where to look for the information on divorce, I will try NAS, and also email Greenock Library for a newspaper lookup. The husband remarried in 1881 in Canada stated he was single, the wife remarried 1883 , stated she was a widow.

Divorce
Can anyone tell me, a marriage in Scotland 1875, if the marriage had ended in divorce in 1880, would there have been a margin entry (RCE) on the original?

Re: Born Ireland - where do I start my search .....
Yes, I'm still here, TS is one of my preferred sites, although I don't post too often, I do like to check the posts. I have made very little progress since my original post with anything beyond Edward McNeil & Martha Graham, from Martha's death entry, her parents were John Graham & Ann Campbell, and...

Re: Scotlands People Copywrite
Hi Lesley, We should all be sharing your concern about displaying family trees on the web & copyright. I would assume that including SP information on a PRIVATE tree on Ancestry is ok, but when you gave access, and your cousin made the information public, the responsibility of copyright infringement...

Re: Missing Greenlees Daughter
There is an Elizabeth Greenlees married Paisley Renfrewshire 1865, she may be a bit young for your Elizabeth, but worth having a look on SP.

Re: Library charges
Actually, I have received free articles from the NSW State Library, emailed to me at no cost. Having said that, I think Big Sanny may be getting the bull by the horns, it was not a complaint about the cost, the complaint was the charges involved in making such a small payment, and the method that th...

Re: Library charges
Great outcome Lesley, From the article I have been able to establish that the relation I was researching was the father-in-law of the other two gentleman, the accident happened only about 300yds from shore, and was witnessed by the three wives of the victims, they were still searching for one of the...
