Well, i managed to find old gedcoms to upload to new trees ( Ancestry etc) but the latest back up one didnt work. I would echo Alans wise words. How long have you had them ? Long story but i had loads of photos and letters from my uncle. For the most part none of the photos had personal information written on them. I was able to identify photos of my gt grandfather, his sisters and niece from the letters along ...

Also i think i have seen a resident of a Model Lodging House called an Inmate but i may be wrong - which has reminded me that the one my gt grandfather stayed in in Glasgow is now a hotel i want to visit
