Rob - there was a land valuation undertaken in Ireland in the mid 1800s which lists landholders and tenants (no other family listed, however). This is a really useful resource, since there are almost no census records available. Access to this recource is free at www.askaboutireland.iegv4/gv_start.p...

Ali - if you look at the Griffiths valuation which is available free at http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/gv_start.php you can find a Jane Frazer listed in the parish of Carrick. The list for this parish was recorded in 1858 - so might have some connection for you. No Steens listed there altho...
