Gee I hope this isn't one of my relatives. My 3x great grandfather was Alexander Douglas born in 1755 in Bowmore. My ggg grandfather William Hewitson died in Greenock in 1897. He death record states that he was 78 years old, which means he was born about 1819. All census records state that he was born in Troon Ayrshire. When checking for a birth record on SP it doesn’t give you the option of naming Troon as the...
