Hi This may give you some help as it is listed where various Cameronians Battalions were over a period of time: http://www.1914-1918.net/scotrif.htm To find out more, I think you'd need to first establish which Battalion he was in, and then follow it up by finding out if there are extant war diaries...

As far as I remember they used to do some kind of free access (24hrs??) stunt on St Andrews day or thereabouts, (or was it Burns Day?), so maybe keep an eye on it just incase.....
