Ahh screen shot. Now why didn't I think of that. Better than copying and pasting.

Thanks Sarah.

Re: census download Ancestry

Thanks Andrew and Sarah.

It is the Scottish transcriptions I'm talking about. I can't believe I've just noticed this and have been a member for more years than I care to remember.
I usually print them off.

So I assume I can't share these either?

Kind regards,
Annette

Re: Confused!!! Gartloch Asylum

Hi Marilee,

I'm finding it difficult to find this couple together on a census record. Do you have them in 1901 and 1911?

When and where was Samuel born?

Sorry just questions at the moment.

Annette

Re: rootsireland help

Is this the couple who had children in Greenock, Scotland.

If so a look at one of the children's birth entries should give you date and place of marriage.

Re: Seemingly Missing Marriage Record

It might be worth contacting The Mitchell Library in Glasgow to see if there is a record for a poorhouse application made by a Helen McArthur Carlin who was destitute in 1884. Name: Helen Mc Arthur Carlin Marital status: Married Admission Age: 59 Record Type: Applications for Relief Birth Date: abt ...

Re: Decyphering a death reg

I managed to get the image too but not anywhere with the surname. Searching everywhere for anything like it comes up with nothing. According to census records Jane/Jean Ross was born at Dalkeith, Midlothian around 1809 but a submitter at Ancestry has her born around 1801 and married before to John M...
