I wonder if his mother married and changed his name?
What year was Jessie born and what were her parents' names?

Annette

Re: James Gillespie - 344 Holmhead St, Glasgow
Hi Daryl,
Not much help in finding James but if you look at H 12 on this map https://maps.nls.uk/view/117744087 you will find Holmhead St.
Are you sure it was number 344 as the street seems a bit short for that?
Regards,
Annette

Hello Lexie, Was he born around 1912? There is a death registered, on Scotland's People, at Ayr in 1980 of a James Aitken Kerr aged 68. If you think that could be him then you can view the extract at The Mitchell Library Genealogy Centre. From there you can see if he married and hopefully find any c...

Hi Ailsa, It is difficult finding Agnes on Ancestry in 1901. The one Wilma found in Kelvin isn't coming up on a search so maybe mis-transcribed. The only one I can see is living in a female lodging house in Calton. What address was given when she died? Regards, Annette Later.....I see Catherine is a...

Hi Gary,
There seems to be a couple of William Finlaysons born around 1786 in Dunfermline.
What do you know about him?

Re: registering a babys death ?
Hello Susie Q,
Yes a death has to be registered no matter what age the person was when they died.
A stillbirth is registered in a separate book and is closed to the public.
Regards,
Annette
