I've just had a look at ordering from Amazon.co.uk - the book is £9.99 right enough, then they want 1.99 for sourcing the item plus whatever the postage charge is (free if you order over £15). WHSmith will take the order online and deliver to your local store for free, with delivery 1-2 weeks. We sh...

Hi Dennis (and everybody else). Wise words from the TS sages, and I've nothing to add in terms of handling the situation. Quicktime Problem (and solution - I hope)

I posted on this subject in SP Problems, but turns out it's nothing to do with SP, so in case anyone encounters a similar problem ... Although my SP viewer is set to Direct Downloads, suddenly images were opening with Quicktime - fine as far as viewing goes, but wouldn't print, wouldn't save so neit...

Problem solved. Quicktime installed itself with the new 80g ipod apparently - now uninstalled and all back to normal. Only took a 20 minute phone call to computer wizz (took that long to make me understand the lingo  ). Should've known Santa's elves would be behind it. Thanks again Andrew. Bes...

Hi Andrew I think it's been there on and off - I remember my daughter squealing about something messing up her computer and it may well have been Quicktime. Do you think it would over-ride the direct download settings I've always had? Sorry to sound a numpty. I may ring daughter and see if she's bee...

Direct Download - Quicktime?

My viewer is set to direct download (has been for yonks). Suddenly Quicktime has taken over ... when I view the image, I see a huge blue Q in the middle of the screen, that vanishes and the image appears. However, when I print the document, I get nothing but the Scotlanspeople URL followed by GROS-S...

Hi Andy Very sorry to hear about your misfortune - just stinks really. Unless things have changed recently though, like DavidWW I thought your liability was about £50. Banks are usually good at highlighting unusual activity on accounts and cards. Have a look here (Motley Fool - usually a reasonable ...
