Re: Seeking relatives in USA

Apologies Sarah,
Don't bother about explaining SSDI to me - found it and it is relatively easy to navigate =D> . As I found only Catherine Ann TAIT in SSDI, it would appear other siblings stayed in Canada.

Thanks again.

Re: Seeking relatives in USA

Thanks for that Sarah. I will locate and download Birth Extracts from SP which will give EXACT DsOB. When Jessie said she had no living relatives remaining in Scotland, she was being less than honest. But hey, who are we in 2012 to throw stones? We have all told little white untruths! O:) Watch this...

I have photographs which I would like to share. This is the information I and others have been able to ga...

Re: Anyone Researching These Names ?

Ayrshire Roots 1900-1929 BDM database lists a Sussanah Sanders passing away at Ayr Hospital. She was described as the wife (NOT widow, so we can reasonably assume her husband was alive) of Robert Sanders of Ardrossan. As her passing was carried in the 22 Jun 1928 edition of the Ardrossan & Salcoats ...

FORGIE, Quintin & Jean

There are several subscribers researching the FORGIE name. Whilst researching my own ancestors at the Carnegie Library in Ayr, I located the following: Ayrshire Burials Index. Girvan: FORGIE, Jean, formerly residing in Girvan, buried 21 October 1788, daughter of Quintine ( sic) FORGIE (weaver). OPR ...
