Yes, I watched this one too, and was wondering the same thing as you lot. Perhaps they approached local genealogy societies and asked if any one in them had any interesting trees to share that linked up to modern day "stars". Remember, Jack Thompson had the lady with the tree that was meters and met...

Hi Jack, I thought I recognised that 1851 address. James (from the 1841) is living at 31 Greenvale st with wife and son John,3 in the 1851 census. I think I have this John transcribed as BURMSIDE on the 1871 living down the road from Peter. Have had another look on Freecen too. I found John from the...

Thank you so much Jack.OX Thought I had found Jean/Jane, and followed her through to the 1871 census (my local library has free access to ancestry), then realized it was the wrong one. I wonder if this family are connected to Brian's (aka Rockford), I'm sure he has Youngs in his side. Will have to l...

Yes I watched it. What an interesting family. I knew he was going to be the one descendant from convicts when i saw the six they had picked. (he even made that funny little comment himself at the end) When I saw the photos in the barn, I just thought how lucky that they have survived. My father reme...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info. The Museum of Childhood does look very interesting. Pity they don't have a more informative website.

Toy Dealer

Hi All, My GGGGgrandmother Janet MURDOCH (maiden name Hope), is listed in the 1851,61,71, censii(?) for Muirkirk as a Toy Dealer or Merchant and in the 1881as a toy shop keeper. Muirkirk seems to be a very small mining village, and I was surprised there would be a toy shop in such a place. I have tr...
