Mary Farrel/Farrell b. 1817 - Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland ?

Hi, I'm trying to locate where my 2 x great grand mother Mary Farrel/Farrell was born in Ireland circa 1817 (and who died on 1st May 1899 in Kilbirnie), I think it may be in Antrim but not sure. Her parents were Thomas Farel/Farrell & Agnes McVitie. Her brother John was apparently b.c. 1806 in Longf...

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi Alan & Carol, Many thanks for the links you posted regarding Daisy & South Africa. I've had a look at myhertitage and the pic of Daisy is interesting as there is a strong resemblance to other family members. I have messaged 2 people who are related to her to confirm if it is indeed her. I also ha...

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi, Update on Daisy. . . I think I've found her in Johannesburg, South Africa. She was married to a William Fawcitt Clemiston, she died on 10 Nov 1965. I've never tried researching in South Africa before, but it looks quite difficult apparently  she had 2 sons, Wilfrid & Robert (Bruce). Does a...

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi Alan & Carol, I've found a tree on Ancestry which has the Daisy that Alan found for me and matches the young lady who died in May 1901, so it looks like it's not my Daisy unfortunately. I also checked the Hegarty tree too, and it is the same Daisy as mine she was one of 16 siblings (her older bro...

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi Wilma,

I've had a look on SP for those 2 deaths, but they're for the same person Muriel Daisy Pryce I'm afraid.

Regards,

Daryl

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi Wilma, Yes, I've noticed that there maybe a connection between M H Baxter & my Daisy Bruce somewhere. On the 1901 Irish census, it mentioned that M Baxter came from Perth, which isn't a million miles away from Angus. They could be cousins. I haven't found anything for Daisy at all, so don't know ...

Re: Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi Alan, Many thanks for finding that info regarding M Baxter, I was wondering if she was related to Daisy in some way as she was also Scottish (from Perth) and that is why Daisy was so far from home, could it be she found employment in Cork possibly alongside a relative (both having Baxter in their ...

Daisy Baxter Bruce

Hi, I'm trying to find my great grand aunt Daisy Baxter Bruce, who was living at a house at 11.1 Infirmary Rd, Cork, in the 1901 census. I was wondering if the address she was living at was the Cork hospital for Women & Children as it's in the same road, and the head of the house was a hospital supe...

Re: John Munro - Cant Find His Marriage

Hi Carol, Thanks for finding that info on John's siblings. Yes, I had a quick look for possible marriages for both Ann & Hugh, and I had a quick look for the deaths of Donald & Elizabeth while I was in the genealogy centre but ran out of time. According to John's death cert in 1882 his parents are b...
