BBC 4 has an interesting programme on called Ian Rankins Hidden Edinburgh .....a bit late i know as its already been on for 35 mins :roll:

Tracey,

Is that the one about the little known world that lies beneath Edinburgh. There was a very interesting prog on here a few weeks ago about Edinburgh. It showed not only Mary Kelly Close, but a whole warren of underground tunnels and structures that had once been part of the city before being buried, for one reason or another.

Well worth the watch.

Hi Christine

Thats the one !. Also mentioned were 9 little carved coffins found in a cave (?) that they thought could have had something to do with Burke and Hare. My favourite story though was of a lady named Doris who ran a house of ill repute who claimed her busiest time was during the two weeks of The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland :shock: !

Definitly a good watch.
