I just found this site and I realize the reply is seven years after the initial post. I have done some research on James Morrison and learned he was a doctor with the British East India Company. He left the company and set up a country practice in Alford, and did a bit of farming on the side. He had a sister in Guyana and was persuaded to go to the West Indies. He developed a fever and died there. If you would like to find out more go to Tribal Pages Bunning/Mckenzie family and look up James Morrison. He was married twice and the paternity of his children is not clear. His obituary is included in the photo section.
