Main family lines are Harpers from Midlothian, Fife & Kinross-shire, and Dobies/Dobbies from Midlothian. Also Strathearn, Stobie, Layden and Downie.

Seeing your message, I just reread all the Dobbie posts and actually found a clue for another line I am currently working on! It always helps to go over old research in the light of new discoveries and new databases now online.
