Re: TalkingScot Admin - Russell
Thank you, Ann. As you guessed, it is a real blow to the Admin team. Russell’s patience and optimism with new posters and his hard work behind the scenes helping to delete the many spammers who try to join the forum on a daily basis will be difficult to replace. In addition, he was a true friend and we will miss his generosity and teasing banter at admin meetings We were lucky to have all met in person, despite living on different continents, at the seminar he organized in Kilbarchan a few years ago.Wee Ann wrote: Condolences ,thoughts and prayers to his family and to the Admin team.
Russell was devoted to his family and they are very much in our thoughts.
It will not be the same without Russell.

Re: TalkingScot Admin - Russell
Jings have just come on here to see this and can't quite believe it I'm really shocked
I live in Kilbarchan and hadn't heard this news. Russell led our little Family and Social History group in the village for the last few years and we have had some great discussions (not just about history but many subjects of the day!). It's good to talk as they say!
My condolences and sympathy to all his family and friends!

Oh such sad news! Russell was a real asset to TS, always friendly and helpful and I know he must have been a lovely man as it came across in his posts. I feel for his family and all who knew him.

Also sorry to hear the news. I may not get on much at the moment (brick walls everywhere!) but all admins and contributors are very much appreciated and it's always sad to lose one.
RIP Russell. Hope you've now got all the answers you were searching for.

Re: TalkingScot Admin - Russell
I am very sorry to hear about Russell. I have a lasting memory of him at his last seminar in Kilbarchan when he shared (one of) his immaculately produced family trees. He will certainly be missed. Condolences to his family and TS colleagues.
