Reposted from a forum visible only to moderators...........

Way back some time ago, longer that it seems can possibly be the case that is the reality , - but then the temporary existence of the original ScotlandsPeople Discussion Group can distort memories, - a group of former members of that sadly closed DG decided to set up a replacement such Discussion Group, which was to be known as "TalkingScot".

The original AdminGroup of TalkingScot had some experience in the administration of such discussion groups, and were therefore very aware of the fact that such a discussion group could only survive and prosper, despite the enthusiasm of the small group of founders, if a wider group of "supporters" could be recruited to the "cause"!

To that end, the Friends of TalkingScot group was set up, - the main aim of this group being to promote the DG.

In parallel with that that AdminGroup sought support from TS members who would be willing to take on the task, at times quite difficult, of moderating various forums on TalkingScot.

Without such assistance, TalkingScot, quite simply, would not have survived.

Catriona was a founder member of Friends of TalkingScot group, and then graduated to become a TalkingScot Moderator, in which roles she performed quite superbly!!

Quite simply, without the considerable input of Catriona over the past 2+ years, TalkingScot could not be what it is today.
