I can claim various places as home in Scotland.
Ormiston for my first 11 years
Musselburgh for another 6
Pollok in Glasgow for a few years
Paisley for 2 or 3 then my future wife found me!
Glasgow (Linthouse) for a year
Now Kilbarchan for MMMMMMHHHHH years?? can't count tonight!
My Mother retired after Paisley to Dunoon and at 93 she has now been there for 30 odd years. When you can find her there. She's planning to visit grand & Gt grandaughters in the USA again around Easter!
I don't know about being upwardly mobile! but mobile we were....
If I get my local Scots expressions mixed from time to time you can see why!!
