Hello everybody,
My name is Owen and I have a website called My Clydebank Photos. My daughter, Jennifer bought me a website package for my Christmas so I used it to display photographs I took of Clydebank in the late 70s and early 80s. I always wanted to put my photos on the internet but was not sure how to go about it till I got the package and then it was very simple. I also have present day photos, a Then and Now section, an Out and About section and a Guest page. If you would like a look, you will find me at www.myclydebankphotos.co.uk
Thank you.
Owen

Brilliant Owen I spent many (late) hours looking at these last night.
I was interested when the name Greer came up on one of your photos.
Any connection to the Greers of Old Kilpatrick-Robert Greer(Abbey Parish Renfrew)c1833 & Catherine Jenkins(Falkirk) set up home there & raised many children including my Great-Granny Mary Simpson Greer.Gilbert was his brother & they both lived in OK & both were employed as stone-masons by the Clyde Trust.
I had a great trip down memory lane & will post your link to my Facebook page-I have many Bankies in exile who will love your photos! You might end up with more in return.

The name Greer
Funny you should ask about the name Greer. My nephew mentioned on the site is not related to the Greers in this area but Chuck Faller who has some photos on my guest page asked me the same question as he is related to the Dalmuir Greers, which could possibly be the Old Kilpatrick Greers. I will send him your text to see if there is any connection.
Thanks for looking in on my website.

Re: My Clydebank Photos
Hello everybody.
Just a wee note to let you know I have old maps from the 50s of Clydebank and surrounding areas on my website now so you can see where all the old streets and buildings used to be. The maps are by permission of the National Library of Scotland. I don't know if you know this, but photocopies of old maps of Scotland can be purchased at a very reasonable price from the NLS for your own personal use. You can see my maps at http://www.myclydebankphotos.co.uk
