Anon - recorded at the Macdonald Arms Hotel in Tobermory in June 1977 by Peter McC Wilson, then submitted to the Highlander magazine, and published in the Nov/Dec 2005 edition.
Once upon a time there was man called Benbecula,
Much Harris’d lest he might Lewis his life.
Soay swallowed a cocktail of Eigg & Rhum.
Although it seemed Eriskay drink
Especially as he wasn’t Uist to it
And anything might Appin.
After he had Mull’d it
Islay him down and he enJura a little anguish.
Eventually he passed away,
His soul went to Skye
And they took his body away in a Barra.
As for his poor wife she Canna get over the shock of it
Which has since Kilda.
