A quick update for those following this thread or who have just climbed aboard;

We’re tracing the male line of the COLLINGS family. Specifically those of the current Hayley COLLINGS. (aka Sharona Krova). Her family can be tracked all the way back to the 17th century and out to Australia, with many branches and colourful characters on the way - IF we can positively identify the father given on her grandfather’s marriage certificate. :? The father is given as James Henry COLLINGS. But this doesn’t compute – anywhere! However, if the middle name was Woodbridge, then everything would fall into place and we’d have a clear run at over 250 years of family history!

We know that both these guys were married to an Amy (something).
We strongly suspect that James Henry C. and James Woodbridge C. are one and the same.
We’ve discovered that James Woodbridge COLLINGS was married to an Amy LEE
We’ve ordered a copy of their Marriage Certificate which is currently speeding it’s way to us by mule train via Abu Dhabi :D

If we cant match up these two names – then we’re a bit like Channel Tunnellers missing each other in the middle and it’s back to the drawing board.

Meanwhile I’ve just discovered that Hayley’s great uncle was named Harold Lee COLLINGS, so that’s promising.

Bob.

Many thanks to all of you that have been helping out along the way! I'm afraid i'm a total novice at this and haven't been much use to Bob!

Couldn't wish for a better future father in law tho
