STRONG Family .....

Post by Pam Pakes » Sat Jul 09, 2005 10:46 am

Another of those brick walls that never seem to tumble.
Robert STRONG married Margaret FISHER 1st August 1813 at Hornsey Parish Middlesex England.
Margaret is believe to have been born in Norwich Norfolk England but where was Robert born?
After marriage they moved to Rotherhithe on the Thames River where they had seven cjhildren: John - Robert - Rosina - Charles - George - Sarah - Susannah.
John and Susannah died young - Rosina still on the missing list - George left England 1847 - Robert, Charles and their families left England in 1856 and Sarah and her family left England in 1865.
Would like to hear from any one connected to Robert and Margarets siblings or parents.
Please help me break this huge brick wall or at least put a crack in it.
Many thanks for any help.

Pam

Do hope you've managed to remove a few bricks from the wall since last year. Sorry we weren't able to help.

Hi Catrional

Many thanks for your call. As a matter of fact yes I have found another daughter of Roberts called Margaret born 1827 - married to France ASHWOOD and then George STEWART, all in th Rotherhithe area. Have followed many of her children and grandchildren. Also there is another possible daughter called Mary born about 1814 but still have to find the proof of her yet - she may have married a HYATT/HIATT/HATT seems to be many spellings.
But still have not located where Robert snr was born. Will keep knocking again that wall and maybe one day.
