Hi,
I got an Oyster Card when I was in London last November. I still have the card & was wondering if it is still valid or can be topped up or do I need to purchase a new one when I am back there next week for two weeks

Hello Dennis
You dont purchase an oyster card as such but i do see they charge a £2 fee for a Visitor Card
http://visitorshop.tfl.gov.uk/ if thats what you have. All i had to pay was a few pounds to register mine but i do use mine on a daily basis. Yours should be fine to top up as they dont have expiry dates on them.
Also, they sometimes dont work out cheaper despite the claim but it is cheaper to travel by bus than tube. My oyster fare is capped at the most expensive overground travel card cost of just over £15 a day where as if i bought an off peak travel card it is £13.30 but it is cheaper if i travel point to point - home to Bond St and back with no jumping on and off tubes or buses by about £1.50.
The short of it is your oyster card should be fine !
