Thanks for that Tracey.

Some time back I was chasing up my brother-in-law’s ancestors. I found Great Grandfather and his married sons living together but not a sign of their wives and children, anywhere. I came to the conclusion that they may have boycotted the census because of the suffragette thing. They lived in a town known for its radicalism.

Well I must have been doing something wrong because I just found the wives and children living with their husbands in another part of town. Old Great Grandfather not only wrote down the names of the people in his household but also every one of his children no matter where they were living. Those married sons would have been counted twice.

We live and learn.
