divorce records
Are there any totally free websites for research for divorce records. Thank you for any help.

In Scotland the resource for searching statutory records is of course Scotlands People [link at top of page] that will only give you access to the index of divorce records, for the details [for privacy reasons] you would have to pay for the relevant certificate, or perhaps visit a Scotlands People search room.
As you have posted this in the England section of the site, I am assuming the event in question took place there. In which case your best source of information would be Find My Past. I've never had any success in finding divorce records on there - but I expect that is because the more recent records aren't on-line.
I would suspect you may have to visit a registrar's office in the district concerned to gain any more recent information, or indeed guidance as to how these things are published.
