goodmorning all
im looking for the maiden name of my ggmother this is what i have on the family so far
william bonner abt 1818 thame,oxsfordshire england head new thame oxsfordshire
lousia bonner abt 1812 moreton,oxsfordshire,england wife new thame oxfordshire.its her marriage i want and then it will give her maiden name can anyone help,i also have her childrens names as follows
lousia abt 1838 thame
rowland abt 1840 thame
maria abt1842 thame
rebecca abt1844 thame
rhonda abt 1846 credon
william abt 1849 thames
i know the daughter louisa bonner married andrew bennnett morgan in 1868
now andrews father was from south leith midlothian
is that of any more help to anyone thank you for any help given.joyce from holland

Hello Joyce,


the easiest way would be to order the birth certificate for one of the children, and that will have the mother's maiden name. English registrations started in July 1837. Search on FreeBMD using Bonner and the Thame district and you will find many. Note down the reference for one of your family (uncommon names such as Maria and Rebecca are the best) and then you can order the certificate online at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certi ... ndex.asp#0 . It will cost £7.
