first time i have used this site trying to find out about my grandad.born 1985 scotland william barnes married margaret milne about 1921 in gateshead.
he was a police constable in gateshead area from about the 1920 s onward.
have checked the 1901 census for england and wales with no joy.
I seem to be getting no where fast.
.anyone got any clue s to where I go from here.
