Help please, pinpointing these people .....

Post by Cathy » Sat May 13, 2006 6:57 pm

Need help to trace these folks. Births, deaths, census:

John Burrell, b.c. 1864 Manchester or Rochdale. Father William, a Labourer.

Eliza Ann Wilson, b.c. 1867 Manchester or Rochdale. Father Henry, a Moulder.

This couple married 1889 Rochdale, Lancaster.

They had son William Henry 1895 Newton, Manchester.

William Henry married 1919. Father John deceased.

Any help appreciated.

Census 1881 shows a Eliza Ann Wilson with father Henry, -- image uploaded to Gallery.

If this Eliza Ann Wilson is yours, in the 1871 census, she is living with John & Amelia Collins as an adopted child.

Hi Kathy,

Must get some food in.

Hi Cathy

Can't believe it - after looking through nearly 5000 Eliza's in Lancashire, found this entry :

Eliza Ann Bwville - had a look at family members - sure enough John Bwville and son William H Bwville. Plus a few others. I'm pretty sure they're yours - John's occupation fits with platelayer which is some kind of railway job -maybe he had to take what he could at the time.

See what you think - I've emailed you the details.

Best wishes

Hi Pinkshoes,
you are brilliant. It took me forever to find the death of William H.
SP eventually found him under BURR.

Many, many thanks once again.
