DAVID SHEPHERD SWANKIE .....

i have traced my SWANKIE family tree back to 1730 in auchmithie,angus.
only recently did i disscover i had an uncle - DAVID SHEPHERD SWANKIE.

the information i was given was that he lived, worked and died in cumbria and had never married . his death is thought to be before 1991.

i have searched using 1837 online and not found him. i would like to find his date of death as he was sadly the last swankie in my tree.

could someone please advice me as to where i might get the information .

Hi Margaret,

There's a DAVID SHEPHERD SWANICIE on Ancestry.
Born 22 Aug 1913, died August 1988, Carlisle Cumberland.
Death certificate: reg dist Carlisle vol 1, p 256.
Perhaps if you send for that you'll get some leads?
