Dr. Williams's Library .....

Post by Tracey » Thu Jun 22, 2006 10:23 pm

As my Scottish family research is a bit stagnant right now i do what i always do when this happens and delve into the English side. Looking for one of my Spain's (anyone would do ) in the IGI and found one Amy Spain. I clicked on the Source call and it said Dissenting deputies registers, 1728-1837 Dr. Williams's Library (London) :?

So i googled it, this was the best explanation

http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library/a ... ticle=7363

If i read it correctly, you will be aware of this if you have the BVRI discs or have been to an LDS center. So if like me your not you dont and you havnt this may be of interest to anyone looking for their English past.

Hi Tracey

I didn't, I wasn't, I haven't but I might but since I don't have anyone South of the Border I probably will leave it to others

Joking aside that's an interesting link Rather ties in with some of the dissenting and seceding that went on up here in sunny Scotland.

Thanks

Russell
