Post by catisfaction » Sat Aug 12, 2006 8:34 pm

Hi, I'm new to the board. Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself.

*Stands up*

Hi, my names Helen and I'm a Genealoholic

I recently began researching my family tree, knowing that I was of Scottish descent. I love the land and hope some day to return and make my home there.

I was born in England, Essex, grew up in Sussex and now live in America.

My ancestors came from Ayrshire, some I know were born in Galston and I've still got living Nutt relatives in Ayr.

Hmm anything else you'd like to know give me a shout, I don't bite.... well not unless you ask nicely ;)

Awww come on...... Did ya hear that joke about the Essex girl?

Ok ok I'll quit. One a the nicest things about moving to the US is that all the Essex girl jokes are blonde jokes here... and i'm a brunette wahay! lol

So back to the regularly scheduled program, where's your ancestors from in Scotland?

The jokes stopped here in the late 80,s early 90,s and died out with the Yuppies thankfully.
My lot are slightly scattered around Scotland but mostly the Highlands
