Hello
I am looking for information on John Watt born c.1846 he was in Liverpool in 1900 when his daughter Jessie married Juan Camillo and she was staying in Hunter Street. The witnesses on the cert are A.Watt and Catherine Fisher. John Watt occupation is that of a ship plater/shipwright this is from the marriage certs of Margaret and Jessie.
I cannot find him in the 1901 census and need his wife to get further back. There is also a sister Agnes who married a Mr Rankin nothing to be found on freebmd.
His other daughter Margaret was born c.1867 Stock-on-Tees according to the 1891 census for Edinburgh. There was a 14 year gap between sisters so there must have been a large family.
Can any help me find more information about John Watt would he be in any other directories? Any help is really appreciated.
Heather

Hi Heather,
Do you have any more information regarding the girls to perhaps place them in census or on the IGI with John?
Also the freebmd on Ancestry, as I understand, isn't complete, however, if you have a rough idea of events you can go in on their complete version and trawl through quarter by quarter.
Unfortunately nothing as helpful as Mother's maiden name was supplied back at the time of 1867 but you may be able to find the Agnes Watt/Mr Rankin marriage.
Best wishes
Donna

Hello Davie
Many thanks for your reply and thanks also to your friend but Agnes is too young for the one I am looking for. My Agnes would be born about 180ish as she is the sister of John Watt born c.1846 who is the father of Margaret born c.1867 Stockton-on-Tees and Jessie born c.1881 somewhere.
