I am looking for the birth of Elzabeth [Bethia] Ruicastle born about 1780 Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Can anyone help please?

I know that Alice Bradford posted about Elizabeth Ruicastle some time after this post. Have you and Alice been able to put your heads together and come up with some fresh information?

Hello Catriona

ALice and I are actually related we are 4th cousins but we do not keep in touch.

I am unsure were Elizabeth was born as The IGI has 2 entries at least for this family and they have Elizabeth born in England and Scotland. I can't get her death unless I go to Old Monklands Graveyards as no records for deaths were recorded for Old Monklands.

As for the Ruicastle surname there are so many variations it makes you cry. :cry: This is a very big ](*,) whick I can't see ever being knocked down. It may be one of those lines that I will have to stop researching. Oh that's part of family history.
