Hi Clare,

I see that no one has answered your post, so I took a look around for Elizabeth and here's what I found, perhaps you already have this information.

On the IGI there is a submitted entry for Elizabeth which includes some information on her parents and younger brother, Frederick Hurtle Lowen.

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/ ... _form=true

Did you ever take a look at www.worldconnect because if not, you may want to visit and put in the database code of mawise located in the third box down of the left hand side of the screen. It will connect you with someone who seems to have a great deal of information on Elizabeth including her marriage to Francis Weatherley and a list of their 8 children. Poor Francis passed on before 1857 because it appears Elizabeth married for a second time to Thomas Potter and she was a good sport and went on to have her 9th child giving him a daughter, Hannah.

When you bring up this database on worldconnect, it will list an e-mail address for the person researching your family.

Hope this helps!
Marilyn

Hi Clare,

You're Welcome! Don't waste another minute reseaching until you pay a visit to Worldconnect.... Although a month has passed since I found that information, I can still remember my reaction and thought to myself "Wow wait until she reads all this." Keep us updated on any further developments...

Hi Currie,

Thanks for correcting that link, I appreciate it.

Regards
Marilyn

Hi Clare

I assume you have the family details from the Tasmanian archives
http://portal.archives.tas.gov.au/menu.aspx?search=8 or the early BDMs from Tasmania.

If you email the archives (or visit if you live nearby) they will check for any immigration information they may have. (May/may not be a charge, but they will provide a quote)

I didn't see either of the couple in the Tasmanian Convict list online, so presume they came as free settlers. As they seem to have married in Tasmania in 1839, they have missed being on any of the England census records.
