The reason I was asking about Edwards occupation was because the G.V. entry I mentioned earlier is in a town!! Now if you had said 'farmer' it would have discounted it. (unless he'd changed occupation). But as you said labourer , it could be either town or country, so he's not thrown oot the windae yet. I also forgot to mention that Edward was a tenant of a David Graham. (though it's a very common surname)
As you said he was still alive in 1873, it's likely he's on G.V. There are only 6 (5 really). it's still possible that Martha was born in Antrim, maybe even married there, but settled and had her children in Londonderry. As Edward was a labourer, he may have just gone where the work was available.
