Hi McBrucie
All you can see is the original scan of the INDEX, not the actual birth, marriage or death entry. It is pretty much the same as the way things work with English records on sites such as freebmd ...once you have the place of registration, the year (or "quarter" in later years) volume and page number you can order the certificate.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Lesley,
Thanks for the reply. I still can not see anywhere to view the Index or order the certificate. It's probably right in front of me, but I can not see it!

Hi McBrucie
When you click on a persons name and you are seeing the page that gives the details (as you have pasted in above), at the top right of the page there is a wee photo of a page to click on. It says something like (just off to check)....hang on.....it's gone. The option to view the image is no longer there it seems.... it is now a greyed out strip down the right of your page

Hmm.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Lesleyb

Finally got the site working, and the best part is that I have finally found the death of Elizabeth Rae who the team on TS really helped in my search for her death, (almost 100% sure it is her) her death is registered at Youghal Ireland, her husband Louis/Lewis was working in Youghal at the time of her death, I have a testimonial of Louis to verify this.

Have (again pretty sure) found the death of their Daughter Mary Ann age 5, who I thought had been taken by aliens [alien] .

Their deaths are both registered as REA, not RAE.
What I need to know now please is how do I order these certificates, I have ordered lots from the UK but not sure how to go about ordering from Ireland.

HELP PLEASE,. \:D/ THANKS

Hi Trish
See:
http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 4065#94065

Not sure of when and where your events happened? If the are all Eire, (based on Youghal being in Co. Cork?) then it would be Roscommon you'd contact.

Hi Trish
You can print out the forms from Roscommon, fill 'em in, ...then it is snail mail from there.... But it works as I've ordered a few that way, 6euro per photocopy. You need a credit card to get around the currency difference; they accept Mastercard or Visa.

Best wishes

ordering from Rosscommon

Post by topaz » Fri Feb 20, 2009 7:42 am

what does this mean in layman's terms? not that I'm ready to order, there's too many Patrick Ledwiches in Co. Kildare! but I've never done Irish research, not hands on, anyway.

while I'm at it, has anyone done early Irish research, where the Irish ancestor is an early immigrant to the US?
