Thanks for that - I've done nearly 5000 names so far and look forward to seeing the BMD details on IGI.

I feel as though I'm doing my bit for the future. It hasn't helped me find any of my missing rellies, but if it helps someone else who doesn't have to pay for it, I'll keep going!

Thanks again.

Thank you!

It could be done an awful lot quicker if there were more volunteers.........

I submited my 1st batch with no problems but having a problem with the 2nd.

There are only 69 names on the image but the programme thinks I have 375. I have tried reducing the 'records per image' but it will not go to less than 375. :?

HELP!!

Regards,
Annette

Hi Annette,
I believe you have to click on the "blank" record button to make up the difference from line 70 to 375. :)

Hi Anne

Yes I thought I might have to. :x does that mean creating over 300 blank records?

Annette

Hi Annette,
Yes, I'm afraid so. I had to do the same thing with my last batch...my finger was getting sore pressing that blank key

Hello Anne,

Well, that's that problem solved :!:

I went back on and instead of submitting the completed batch I returned it. (before I added all the blanks I'm glad to say)

Annette

Hi Annette,

 I must admit that I thought of doing that too but ended up putting in the blanks...then again, I had 85% names entered, so no where close to the 300+ you would have had to put in.

Anne H

This indexing can be rather addicting. It's so hard not to press that download button again when you're finished.

I was impressed how well set up it is and how easy it is to get going.

And it's nice to be able to give back to an organisation that has provided so much wonderful genealogy data.

I've done 3 different downloads now - Philadelphia marriages, Irish BDMs and US Census. The US census was the quickest and easiest even though that was handwritten. The Philly marriages and Irish BDMs were both typed and I was going a bit crosseyed trying to follow the lines across the page.
