Patrick Ledwi(t)ch m. 3 Mar 1840 in Co. Kildare, so I am told, to Mary McDermott.
they had these children (starting dates are christening/baptism);
Margart 1841-??? sponsors John Ohara, Catherine Lube
Bridget 1843-??? sponsors Christopher McDermott, Mary Spring
Mary 1846-??? sponsors James and Etty McDermott
*Catherine 1848-??? sponsors John McDermott, Bridget McCann
*Peter 1852-1937 sponsors not known. m. Elizabeth McEvoy
*Patrick 1855-??? sponsors Patrick Deering, Mary Deering
*Anne 1860-??? sponsors Richard Madden, Bridget Reily

Bridget m. James Mulloy witnesses Richard McCormick, Mary Flinn. Bridget had two daughters, Mary and Eliza, born in Johnstown.

Peter came to the US abt 1880. I've never found his immigration and a family story says he was a crew member who bailed in New York.

Elizabeth McEvoy was the daughter of Patrick McEvoy and Mary Whelan, both of Ireland, but I don't know which County. Elizabeth was born in Ohio, USA.

Patrick m. Bridget McCann witnesses Charles McGuire, Mary Flyn

Anne m. Patrick Monehan witnesses Pat Fitzsimons, Alice Hanlon

I'd love to hear from any relatives. Peter is my late husband's ancestor.

Hello Topaz,
I'm not related to your family...just wanted to welcome you to TalkingScot. [scotland-flag]

Hopefully, someone will come along who recognizes your family names and get in touch. Good luck! :)

Regards,
Anne H

Thank you, Anne,
I'm glad to be here. it looks like TalkingScot has been around quite a while, but I've never heard a peep regarding it. it's a gem!
I'd be thrilled to hear either from relatives of his or from a gentleman who so kindly assisted me from Ireland many years ago. I don't have his name in memory or at hand for the moment...signs of senior times, lol...
