Could you please inform me what the initials L G B Scotland refer to in the residence of Jane Dunbar, parentsWilliam and Elizabeth? I believe it is a residence in Edinburgh?

perhaps you could give us where you found the result, looking at the original often helps figure things out.
I can't find a Jane Dunbar on the 1851 census at the National Archives of Ireland http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/ .
Did you get it somewhere else?

The source is likely the Pension Application records which used extracts from the 1841 & 1851 censuses to establish someone’s age for pension purposes (there being no birth certificates in Ireland before 1864). You needed to prove you were 70 years of age or older to qualify.
LGB probably means Local Government Board, Scotland:

So Jane, the 1917 pension applicant, was living in Scotland and sought the assistance of the LGB, to get proof of her age from the Public Record Office in Dublin which is where the censuses were held. LGB was not her home address. (Many applicants used their local Priest or Minister to assist, and you see many extracts with their addresses as point of contact. Presumably the LGB offered assistance too).
It looks to me as though Jane was living in Ingleston St, Greenock when she died on 25.4.1929.
