Ballygallough .....

I've just uncovered a place of birth for a William McNeilly that is listed as Ballygallough, Antrim. My 1932 Bartholomew's doesn't seem to know this one....multimap just says [-( ....and a google throws up a handful of references that seem to prove it did exist and was likely part of or very near Ballyclare.....but I want more!!

Any ideas just where was Ballygallough?....and whatever became of it?

In 1862, at time of G.V. for this townland, a Joseph Mcneilly was in residence. Will send details if you think he's yours.

Thanks Ian...that was certainly easy!

As for Joseph being "mine"...I honestly can't say yet as the jury is still out on William

....but will keep him in mind.
