John Egan, co cork .....
Looking for info of my grt grandfather John Egan, born co cork in 1847. John lived in Deptford London in 1881/91, he was married to Mary Egan, nee Drummond, the children were, Mary Elizabeth, John Richard, JAMES Dennis, Julia Hannah, Catherine Annie, Margaret Ellen. heres hoping.

Do you have parents names for John Egan. My Margaret Smith born in Ireland married a Patrick Egan in Dumbarton Scotland, they then returned to Ireland and about 1847 had their children, one of them John. Patrick worked for the revenue and ended back in Scotland for a time, but the family returned again to Scotland.

hi emanc. i do not know John Egans parents names, sorry, that is were i am stumped. But according to the census returns in 1881/91 . Mary the eldest child was born in Lanarkshire? in 1874. The rest of the children were born in deptford London. Johns wife Mary was born in Scarborough , Yorkshire. Do you have anymore info on the Egans?. Best Wishes Janice.
